I have met William only a few times through his dad KC. He always came across as a shy but sincere person. I regret not having more inter-action with him. We probably would have gotten along. We will all miss him, but I am sure his spirit is the driving force for some of us he left behind. Our prayers are are always with him.

"Heart of Gold" - This is how I would describe this incredible friend. I was privileged to have known William through my late husband Sydney. He, William and another dear friend, James studied at SFU together in the early 1990s. They seemed to have mastered studying while simultaneously filling their appetites with a variety of wings at the nearby pubs. They loved to eat, laugh and talk about the latest gadgets, the newest technology and the fastest cars.

When I first met William, I knew that our friendship would be everlasting. He was a sincere, generous and giving person. He was non judgmental. He respected people for who they were regardless of their imperfections. He was genuine.

William was creative, intelligent, knowledgeable and wise. The knowledge he had about various things was overflowing; I knew that this would one day make him a success. His wisdom I knew would carry him through life.

William loved to learn as much as he loved to give. He gave 100% to his friends and I am grateful to have been amongst them. When my husband passed away in October 2000, William flew back from Hong Kong to pay his respects to us personally. This is the kind of person William was. We were truly blessed to have known him.

Rest in peace Will. You will forever remain in our hearts.

I met Will back in the early 90's while we were attending SFU. Syd Or, Will & I quickly became good friends as we all enjoyed escaping studying and going to a local pub for a chicken-wing consumption contests or other intellectually stimulating activities. Will could always be counted on for partaking in activities such as hiking, playing squash or rock climbing. We had a lot of good times.

I hadn't seen the big guy since we lost Sydney back in 2000, he came back to Vancouver just for the service, he was a great friend full of many admirable qualities.

We lost a great guy in Will and he will be missed greatly.

Nothing but to respect, William isn't around but his spirit still alive everyday. It keeps us to work harder because of his dedication. Nothing could get worse than lost a man, this hit us hard, even more harder than we could imagine. We never met William and sadly we didn't even have a chance to meet him at all. When we are having trouble with technical issue, I always think if William is alive, couldn't he just save us a night for working so hard to solve a problem? Very high chance of yes. William, you certainly and still a leader of technical leader in our company, may you protect us!
