If we talk about "goodness", William Kam was one of the most wholesome persons in the world. Unlike many people we know, he wouldn't even have the slightest amount of greed nor selfishness in him. He was a very generous, kind, supportive, wonderful and capable person to know. He was also very intelligent, a great achiever and a very hard worker. He was born in Hong Kong on January 8th, 1965 and passed away on Feb 3rd 2006 in Hong Kong. William did his primary and secondary schooling in Hong Kong and went on to get his triple University degrees in Vancouver, BC, Canada. He was a very clever person and always got top grades in school. The meaning of his name is very true of him. The meaning of William is "Protector". He was a protector and everyones' protector. He liked to protect everyone and would never let anyone harm any of his loved ones. His family could always count on him protecting them. He was a wonderful person, everyone in the family loved him, especially his grandma. William was a genius. He was one of the most intelligent persons in the world, one could know of. He was a walking encyclopedia and whenever you did not know anything or have any questions, he would always know and would have the answer for you. He would have an interest in anything that relates to knowledge. He would read almost anything that brings data and information to him. He would absorb things like a super computer. Computers and anything technical were his interests but even if you ask him things like accounting, the oceans, things biological or even engines, he would have all the answers. He liked fast things, fast computers, fast gadgets, fast cars and all..he would get a kick out of overclocking a computer's speed, which is making it run faster than its factory specifications. Back in 1996, he and his brother decided to go back to Hong Kong to start different technology businesses. He was everything to his brother and his family. He and his brother Samuel were very close. Since he was born, he always looked after his brother and family. Some of his accomplishments in Hong Kong; he formed two technology companies in Hong Kong. He and his brother together developed the idea of Internet Utility Computing. He was a technical genius, programmer, engineer, scientist. He also wrote numerous whitepapers and a book which has not been published yet that mentions how to achieve performance gains in a computer system and network by up to 60 times faster. In year 2000, he was mentioned in the book of 100 smartest persons in Hong Kong. He was looking forward to the day of having a great company based in Silicon Valley. He was a person to help to realize other peoples dreams. He had a very interesting and gentle personality, one that we can say was too generous. He was a giver and never a taker and he would seldom have opinions on various matters. He would always give all he could at 100% with his capabilities and efforts and not even ask for 1% in return. During tough times, he would always make sure that the people around him were happy, no matter how difficult times were. He has a bad habit of not telling people his hardships nor his pain or suffering. When you ask him if he was OK, he would always say he was OK, even though he may not be. If you ask him if he was happy, he would always say he was happy, even though in certain times he may not be. Even though he would worry about things, he would never show that he was worried for fear of making people around him worried. If you liked something, he would like it as well because he wouldn't want you to be unhappy. William was the best husband, son, grandson we could all have. He was the best brother anyone could have.
